My Story: From 5-Figure Electrical Engineer to 6-Figure Ecommerce Entrepreneur.

I am sharing everything that I have learned in my business, what I started back in 2018 as a side hustle to supplement my income and now it has given me the kind of freedom I can only dream about.

This was me back in 2016 before starting my e-commerce journey and now this business made me over $1 million in just under 4 years.

And I now want to teach my readers through this blog (duh!) How to Start & Scale an E-commerce Business at a Startup Speed (especially when you’re a solopreneur).

However, it was a long road to get where I am today.

I generally like to live a very private life (not a very social person) and which is why throughout my life, I have always tried to start various online businesses,
from starting niche authority sites to building Instagram pages to creating faceless youtube channels.

I have done everything but perfectionism and self-doubt made me quit every time.

I didn’t want to put my face to anything and still make money online (let me know if you’re like me), that’s when I started researching various ways to make money on the internet.

Long story short, after a lot and lots of failures and getting scammed a bunch of times (yes, that’s right, I got scammed 3 times in total for a total of $40,000 CAD and wasted 7-8 months of my life).

But I still wanted to try one more time.

There was this one thing that I haven’t tried so far and I have always wanted to do it but lack of confidence and knowledge kept me from pursuing it.

That’s when I realized I should start selling online.

I started researching everything I could find online on google and youtube and found two of the best ways to sell online, Shopify Dropshipping & Amazon FBA.

I spent months consuming the content online & those blogs and youtube videos made it look so easy that I thought I could definitely succeed with my first product.

I was far from reality, I failed miserably and had a couple of unsuccessful products, but I didn’t give up.

I wanted to make this business work because there was nothing else that I could pursue if I were to quit this side hustle.

So I decided to try it another way using different strategies and tactics that I have learned in my professional career as an engineer which is to test every single variable and once it works then scale like a startup.

And this time around it worked and here’s why,

  1. I developed the right mindset for ecommerce businesses.
  2. I created a “Perfect Product” using real and perceived valve.
  3. I develped a “perfect launch” strategy using both Organic and Paid marketing channels.
  4. Which generates “Evergreen Traffic” to make consisant sales.

There is a lot of details that go into these things and which is why I decided to start a blog (not a youtube channel because remember I prefer to live a private life, at least just yet).

So now one of my dreams is to create one of the best resources on the internet for starting an eCommerce business with step by step, actionable guides & the right tools and software required to become successful.

I’ll be adding more information about my past life and with all the little details very shortly, at the moment I am super busy running my eCommerce businesses, testing & implementing new strategies so I could share them with you guys.

The entire reason I have created this blog is to kind of document my journey and teach you how to scale your eCommerce business like a startup.

Since most of us are building a side income while working full-time, my goal is to give you the strategies and tools to accelerate your growth.

A lot of people (gurus) have started their online businesses 8-10 years ago and their tactics don’t necessarily apply in 2020s.

When I was starting out No one ever gave me the “actionable, step-by-step advice to grow from day 1 and I want to change that.

I don’t plan to earn passive income to go lay on a beach somewhere.

There’s a lot more work to do. I have more content to share with you, more ideas to contribute and more eCommerce business owners to help.

Because that’s my blueprint – apparently I also love teaching what I am good at.

My biggest thrills in life don’t come from making money from my businesses but also when I’m lucky enough to meet someone new and teach them something that may change their life, not just about business but something about personal development too.

Starting an eCommerce business can be tricky, seems difficult, and could be exhausting at the beginning since there is a lot of upfront work involved in our industry but it can bring you more freedom and change your life in many ways.

It could be launching a side business to support your family or making thousands of dollars every month to buy more inventory. It could be as simple as making some passive income or creating real valuable products to solve people’s problems and getting paid for it.

No matter your goals, my goal is to try to help you get you there faster using this blog. Life’s too short not to give it a shot (I realized this too late in my own life).
